Armed with the Hitchhiker's Guide to the Galaxy, the protagonists of the funniest book in memory continue their crazy adventures, which will lead them to the amazing Restaurant at the End of the World. In this second installment of Douglas Adams' "five-part trilogy" (which thanks to spatial paradoxes can be read in any order), Ford Prefect, Arthur Dent, Trillian, Zaphod Beeblebrox and Marvin the Paranoid Android face off against an automatic kettle from which only a disgusting liquid flows, to the doomed planet because its inhabitants insisted on having too many shoe stores, to a forgotten space transport whose passengers, due to all kinds of stupid delays, have been waiting nine hundred years for the ship starts and then to the Restaurant at the End of the World, located at the moment in time when the entire universe comes to its resounding end: an unusual number of cabaret, enlivened by the light music of the restaurant's orchestra. Their odyssey does not end there, because they live another adventure that will reveal the true origin of the human species: a gang of small-time executives who were expelled from their planet for being undesirable.
