El regreso

Sparks, Nicholas

Trevor Benson had no intention of returning to New Bern, North Carolina. But a terrible explosion outside the hospital where he worked as a surgeon forces him to return home from Afghanistan with serious injuries. The ramshackle cabin he inherited from his grandfather seems like the ideal place to recuperate. Trevor, who cares for his grandfather's beloved beehives, is not ready to fall in love with someone in town. However, from their first meeting with him, Trevor feels a special connection that he cannot ignore with Natalie Masterson, the deputy sheriff. But even when she seemed to reciprocate her feelings, Natalie remains very distant, causing Trevor to question what she might be hiding. To complicate things even more in New Bern, Callie, a teenager living in a trailer park, suddenly appears. Learning that Callie knew his grandfather, Trevor hopes to unravel the mysterious circumstances of his death, but Callie offers few clues, until a crisis triggers a career that will uncover the true nature of his past, a past much more intertwined with death. of the old man than Trevor could have imagined. In his quest to unravel Natalie and Callie's secrets, Trevor will learn the true meaning of love and forgiveness... and that in life, to move on, we often must return to the place where it all began.
