El radiofonista
Hernàndez, Gaspar
This is my most personal book. A narrative ensemble that has radio as its backbone. A book of stories, which can be read like the radio memoirs of a precocious announcer: I started at the age of nine, when my father, an electrician, set up a home radio for me. Thanks to the radio I overcame my shyness. Since then, for more than forty years, I have spoken almost every day in front of the microphone. I wanted to pay tribute to the radio and the spoken voice, at a time when - thanks to podcasts - it is once again taking center stage. Perhaps we are looking for an authenticity in the voice that the image and telematic meetings do not have. Perhaps the voice is the true mirror of the soul.
