El racó de Penèlope
Alapont, Pasqual
Zinc Peris embarks on a journey, a long journey a few kilometers away, from a neighborhood of Valencia to El Perelló, a coastal town where his parents have decided to open a restaurant, El Racó de Penèlope. In fact, they are the ones who have been forced to change their minds and jump back and forth, overnight, turning their child's life upside down like a sock. Alex, the restaurant's chef, an ingenious and enigmatic man, becomes Zinc's guide: he teaches him the essential truths, the value of friendship, morality, betrayal, and more practical things like baking bread. sobrasada or flirting with a girlfriend. But Alex carries with him mystery and deception. In this journey inside himself, Zinc Peris will become wiser: he will understand that love is the memory of a caress, not a statistic of conquests; but he will also understand that people are both the face and the cross of the same coin, and that in order to appreciate the value of small things one must be willing to sacrifice great ones.
