Suicide Bridge is a fictional novel. But the silenced truth it describes is real. In Madrid in 1998, an average of eight people a month chose the Segovia Bridge to end their lives. Today suicide is the leading cause of unnatural death in the world and continues to be the great taboo of our time. The city of Madrid at the end of the 20th century is the backdrop for an addictive plot in which the protagonists are anonymous people, those who never sought more glory than their own survival. A city of contradictions; harsh and cruel at times, welcoming and supportive at others. The great heartless metropolis and the neighborhoods with history where neighbors still greeted each other by name.
