El Prado disperso

tras la pista de las obras del Museo del Prado por el mundo

Orihuela, Mercedes

The Museo del Prado not only treasures the works that are displayed in its rooms. Beyond its doors, 3,500 works are found throughout the Spanish geography and outside the country, in some of our diplomatic representations in the world. Mercedes Orihuela, who for decades has been Curator of the Prado Museum, reveals to us some of these works, by authors of the stature of Rubens, El Greco, Carducho or Rizi, and the beauty of many of the places that house them, such as the Monastery of El Paular, El Escorial or the Embassy of Spain before the Holy See. A journey full of discoveries through the "dispersed meadow", traveling works whose origin and destination deserved to come to light.
