The king and queen have spent many years desperately trying to have a child, until finally their wish is granted... twice. The kings receive the gift of a wooden robot and a trunk princess, but there is a problem: at night, the little girl transforms back into an ordinary piece of wood, and only revives when they sing "Wake up, trunk , awake". The robot and the princess are inseparable, until one day someone mistakenly takes the sleeping princess to who knows where. Now her loyal brother must find her and return her safely to her kingdom. Along the way, the robot will meet such quirky characters as the Mushroom Queen, a magical pudding, a baby in a rose bush and an old lady in a bottle.
