"The end of the world is coming: prepare yourselves." The seasons of what will be the last year of the niverse unfold before the eyes of a thirteen-year-old teenager. Her daily life revolves around the Bible (studying its texts, attending meetings in the temple and preaching in the streets), but she, caught between contempt for "the world", which her community perceives as alien and threatening, and the ravages of puberty, he will begin, with the help of a dictionary, to ask himself questions about his way of life. The novel explores the strange joys of God's chosen ones, and, through the candid voice of the protagonist, tells us about the obsessions and fears of the human condition, but also about the ability to escape from a life without hope. Labastie enters, with as much audacity as lucidity, in the diffuse frontier that separates (or approximates) faith and madness.
