El misterioso señor Badman

Harvey, W. F.

Against all odds, when a bookseller friend asks the distinguished Athelstan Digby to replace him for a day at his shop, he readily agrees. This will allow her to change of scene and visit his nephew Jim, a young doctor who practices in the English country town where the bookstore is located. But as Mr. Digby man the counter, something strange happens: one after another, three customers walk in to ask for a copy of a title they have never heard of and which is not available: The Life and Death of Mr. Badman. Their amazement grows when, towards the end of the day, a boy shows up with a pile of used books to sell, including that much-sought-after title! But how much better for everyone if Mr Digby had never acquired it... Because this seemingly harmless volume will be the target of several robbery attempts, endanger a Member of Parliament and leave behind mysterious murders.
