El mirall de la vida

Between 1956 and 2015, the year of his death, Joaquim Molas, one of the most influential intellectuals in the literary and cultural field of Catalonia at the end of the Franco regime and the transition, wrote diaries that now we publish in its entirety for the first time, both the few he published in his lifetime (Fragments of Memory, 1999) and all the ones he left unpublished, the vast majority. From these daily notes comes a portrait from within the cultural life and the most prominent figures of the Catalan intellectuals. In addition, we capture the evolution of the thinking of one of the most influential scholars in our country. As much as his ideas about literature, the cultural situation, publishing initiatives or academic projects, Molas diary reveals attitudes and positions of many protagonists of our history through sustained conversations over more than half a century.
