It is an evening like any other for the tireless womanizer Mimí Augello in the bedroom of his umpteenth lover. But when her husband unexpectedly returns home, Commissioner Montalbano's faithful right-hand man decides to slip out the window and seek refuge downstairs. From one danger to another: in the apartment he glimpses in the dark a body lying on the bed, elegantly dressed and rigid from the cold of death. The next morning, a call to the police station reports the discovery of a body under the same circumstances, except that it does not coincide with the first dead. How could this happen?
