El manuscrito de aire
García Jambrina, Luis
Hispaniola, Epiphany day 1515. A Taino Indian village near the city of Santo Domingo suffers a devastating fire, in which its inhabitants die shortly after being baptized. The Dominican friars ask King Ferdinand the Catholic to send Fernando de Rojas to carry out the investigations of the case and report on the situation of the natives of the island. Thus begins a complex plot in which detective intrigue and love passion are mixed, the search for justice and the discovery of the other. Throughout his investigation, Rojas will find a New World, full of mystery and beauty, in which he will have to face many difficulties, until he enters the most remote and dark of the island, where an uncomfortable truth is hidden and difficult to assimilate.
