El malvado Zaroff

El malvado Zaroff

Connell, Richard

Professional hunter Sanger Rainsford falls into the water in the Caribbean Sea and manages to reach an island inhabited by two Cossacks, the aristocrat General Zaroff and his giant deaf-mute servant, Ivan. The host challenges his guest to participate in the "most dangerous game", the manhunt, in which Rainsford will serve as the prey. Taken to the movies by King Kong producer Irving Pichel and Ernest B. Schoedsack, and shot at night on the same set as the movie about the great monkey, The Evil Zaroff is considered one of the great classics of adventure and horror films. Orson Welles in the role of Zaroff brought her to the radio in 1945 with Joseph Cotten as Rainsford. That same year Robert Wise directed a new version of this story by Richard Connell many other times adapted for the screen, the last of them in a fifteen-episode soap opera starring Christoph Waltz.
