El largo camino a casa
Hlad, Alan
In September 1940, as German bombs fell on Britain, young Susan and her grandfather Bertie find comfort in raising and training carrier pigeons that the Army will use to relay information on Nazi movements in occupied France. Thousands of miles away, in the United States, a young pilot named Ollie decides to join the RAF, the British Royal Air Force, thus making contact with the National Pigeon Service, where he meets Susan. After becoming inseparable, both will be selected to be part of a secret mission that can lead the country to victory. However, when Ollie's plane is shot down along enemy lines, Susan knows the chances of meeting again are remote. But Duchess, her beloved and faithful dove, will show everyone that we must never lose hope.
