Occultism, divinatory arts, sects, magic and satanic rituals have permeated the world of rock'n'roll through their songs, their concerts and much of the aesthetics that surround their costumes and concerts. Between the sixties and the present, many bands and many musicians have been attracted by forms and approaches close to pagan rites and witchcraft that they applied to their personal and professional lives. While some artists delved into occult studies, others jumped on the bandwagon to create controversy and sell more records. This book is a particular walk through the forbidden of those musicians who have been inclined towards aesthetics and transgressive proposals, sometimes close to the paganism of ancient religions, Satanism and the occult arts.
