Vincent is a waitress at the Caiette Hotel, a five-star glass and wood palace on Vancouver Island, where her mother disappeared when she was a child. The hotel owner, Jonathan Alkaitis, tips Vincent and that marks the beginning of a life together. However, the appearance of a disturbing message on the hotel window will endanger the happiness of the new couple. Thirteen years later, the mysterious disappearance of a woman at sea is intertwined with the discovery of a pyramid scam and drags the lives of Vincent and Alkaitis into a whirlpool that neither of them will be able to control and where nothing is what it seems.
