El gulag chino

cómo sobreviví a un campo de internamiento

Haitiwaji, Gulbahar
Morgat, Rozenn

A member of the Uyghur ethnic group living in the Xinjiang region, in northwestern China, Gulbahar Haitiwaji emigrated to France in 2006. Ten years later, on a trip to her native country, her life changed completely: she was sent to a labor camp where more than a million Uyghurs have been deported by the authorities under the pretext of fighting terrorism. Ella Gulbahar is a survivor of the so-called Chinese "re-education camps"; her testimony makes us part of the atrocities of a system of repression and indoctrination based on torture, slave labor, forced sterilization, police violence... It is the heartbreaking story of a woman who managed to save herself thanks to the efforts of her daughter and the French Ministry of Foreign Affairs, and who decided to circumvent censorship to show us the crimes committed against the social and ethnic group to which he belongs.
