El gos que corria cap a un estel

Joel, a twelve-year-old boy, has many questions: why does he live alone with his father in a dead-end town in northern Sweden? Couldn't they live by the sea? Why does his father, who had been a sailor, go to the forest to cut down trees? Why, years ago, did the mother abandon them? What if the father also disappeared now that he has fallen in love with Sara, the girl from the brewery? Why are people the way they are? Joel asks himself these questions during the long, dark winter, and searches for the dog that ran towards a lonely star. It won't be until he perilously climbs the metal structure of the town's suspension bridge that he will find an answer to one of these questions, the most important of all.
