This is an adaptation of Charles Perrault's classic tale, Puss in Boots. A miller left his inheritance to his three sons. He left a mill to the elder; to the middle son, a donkey; and the smallest, a cat. The youngest son thought that the inheritance his father had left him was very little, but the cat, who was very clever, soon showed him that things could change in a surprising way. To show it off, all you need is a pair of boots and a sack! To encourage independent reading by small readers, each double page presents the text in a short way and written in two types of letters: capital and cursive.
