Icorbeles is chosen by the gods from the very moment of his birth. And that is why he must prepare himself: he is called to be the leader who unifies all the tribes of Iberia. His destiny separates him from everyone, except Alorco and Nistan, two small Carthaginians who, after the defeats suffered by Carthage against Rome, seek refuge in Iberia. Thanks to that friendship he will discover love, but also the conquest plans of Amílcar Barca, who wishes to annex the Iberian lands in order to continue standing up to the Romans. Icorbeles will then be forced to try to make the designs of the gods come true, but they are often elusive, and it is not always possible to understand their messages... Many will be the fears and resentments of the Iberian tribes, which prevent them from uniting against a common enemy. And much will be the ingenuity and courage that he must show to end a conflict that threatens to make the world he knows disappear.
