When Captain Will Laurence captures the frigate Amitié and seizes its precious cargo, little does he know that his life is about to change forever. The cargo is nothing more and nothing less than an imperial dragon egg, a gift from the Chinese emperor to Napoleon. And when the creature hatches, Will will be the chosen breeder.
