El dia que va morir Marilyn

Moix, Terenci

Published in 1969, The Day Marylin died was considered by critics to be a great revelation and an invaluable generational manifesto, and received the Serra d'Or Critic Award. It narrates the life of two boys in Barcelona who were twenty years old in 1962 and, as in an altarpiece, their memories of childhood and adolescence -the cinema, the comics, religious education- were confronted with their parents' memories of the Barcelona in the thirties and the Civil War.
