El desprendimiento

Antología poética 1972-2020

Huerta, David
Doce, Jordi (ed.)

The book includes, for the first time in Spain, a large sample of the work of the Mexican poet David Huerta, FIL Prize for Literature in Romance Languages in 2019, in a selection made by the author in collaboration with the Spanish poet and critic Jordi Doce. A journey through almost half a century of creative work that brings us an electric writing, full of vitality, able to dialogue fascinated with the many appearances of the world and assimilate with unprejudiced greed the various traditions of modernity. The result is an energetic and almost feverish poetry that faces the expressive challenges of the present -marked, in his native Mexico, by inequality and violence, the enormity of its urban landscape and the richness of its natural world- without ceasing to learn from the artistic and literary lessons of the past.
