El asesinato de Lady Gregor

Wynne, Anthony

Duchlan Castle is a bleak and inhospitable place in the Scottish Highlands. One night the body of Mary Gregor, sister of the landowner, appears in it. They have brutally murdered her in her bedroom, but the room is locked from the inside and the windows are barred. The only clue to the culprit is at the crime scene: a fish scale, which the killer has left on Mary's body. Inspector Dundas goes to Duchlan to investigate the case. The Gregor family and their servants are quick to state, perhaps a little too profusely, that Mary was a kind and charitable woman. But apparently the reality is more complex: the lady was cruel, and her character continues to permeate the house after her death. Soon more, equally impossible crimes occur, and the atmosphere grows ever darker. Dundas, with the invaluable help of the doctor and amateur detective Eustace Hailey, will unravel a much more logical solution, beyond the superstitions of locals and haunted rooms.
