El arte de la profecía
Chu, Wesley
It also begins with a prophecy: a child will rise to defeat the Eternal Khan, a cruel and immortal divine ruler, and save the kingdom. And the prophecy points to a hero, Jian, raised in luxury and splendor since his birth, famous before winning a single battle. But that's where the story takes its first turn: the prophecy was wrong. What follows is a tale far more astonishing than any prophecy could predict, and with many unexpected heroes: Taishi, an ancient archmaster of the kingdom's magical martial arts, who believed her days of adventure were behind her; Sali, a warrior attached to tradition who discovers how little the rules are worth when the leader to whom she has dedicated her life disappears; and Qisami, a chaotic assassin for whom killing is perhaps too pleasurable. And Jian himself, who must find a way to become what he does not believe he can be: a hero, despite everything.
