On her 27th anniversary, Cristina, a promising New York lawyer, receives two rings. The first, with a large engagement diamond, is from a wealthy stockbroker, while the other, an ancient and mysterious one, comes from an anonymous sender. She accepts both without knowing that they are incompatible and that the second, in ruby red, has to drag her on an adventure that will make him change her destiny and her vision of the world, life, love and death.
