The fight has been long, hard and bloody, but, with blood and fire, in the spring of 1453, the Ottomans manage to overcome the desperate resistance put up by the capital of the Byzantine Empire. Among those besieged stands out the figure of the mysterious Giovanni Angelos, a man with a dark past and both feared and admired by Constantine's nobles and generals. Even knowing that the fall of Constantinople is inevitable, Angelos decides to go there.
