A practical and fully updated guide, ideal for a short trip to what was one of the great civilizations of the ancient world, Egypt. It is divided into five sections that cover the most important aspects of the visit. In the section A look at Egypt, there is a brief tour of its history, its population, nature, desert landscape, as well as a special mention of those Egyptians who have gone down in history. In the Ten Unforgettable Places section, the author proposes the following places as attractions: The Great Museum of Egypt, recently inaugurated; Abu Simbel; the Nile at Aswan; the Temples of Philé; the Valley of the Kings; the Giza Necropolis; the Karnak Temple; the Egyptian Museum; the Al Azhar Mosque; the Siwa Oasis and the Sakkara Necropolis. The Visit section divides the guide into six chapters: Cairo and its oases, the Nile valley, Luxor, the Mediterranean coast, Alexandria and finally, Sinai and the Red Sea. Each of these sections includes brief descriptions of the main points of interest in each one of them, as well as notes on their gastronomy and customs. In the section titled Where is included a wide selection by localities of restaurants, accommodation, addresses of museums and monuments, etc. Finally, the Practical Information section offers exhaustive information for moving around the country.
