Moving towards inclusive education requires starting from the reality of the environment, being clear about where education is oriented and creating suitable environments. This work is the result of the effort of a university group with great knowledge and experience in the fields that are addressed. We face the challenge of responding to the social and educational challenge posed by society, which requires a more comprehensive and humane academic preparation capable of facing an increasingly complex reality. It brings us closer to understanding that one of the greatest challenges for the educational system is to understand and promote inclusion policies and practices that allow all students to have the same possibility of achieving fundamental learning. Education plays a fundamental role in achieving a committed citizenship. A social construction is necessary that generates a sustainable value that allows developing the capacity for innovation and knowledge transfer that is required at this time. We must work from education to build societies that are more inclusive, egalitarian and committed to diversity, in the broadest sense of the term, and both at the global, regional, national and local levels. The ten chapters in which the work is structured guide us, from a transformative education, to face the various forms of exclusion and marginalization that exist; and inclusion and equity are the basis for achieving this. The different contributions of this work teach us, from a theoretical-practical perspective, to build more inclusive societies.
