Duerme sobre mi espinazo

"Sleep on my spine" articulates a poetic eros reviewing the uses of love in our days. With this work, Montserrat Fernández entrusts the reader with her experience of meeting and losing a lover, seeking her complicity through intense images and references to everyday life that transcend ordinary rites and turn them into symbols of deep emotions. Throughout the collection of poems we find echoes of Alejandra Pizarnik, Cortázar's puns and Pedro Salinas' restlessness, among other references that turn the discourse into a rich aesthetic reflection of contemporary love poetry, thus forming a game of intertextuality that places the work within the best tradition of love poetry in our language.
