Dos noches en Lisboa
Pavone, Chris
Ariel's husband has disappeared without warning, he hasn't left her a note and he isn't even answering his cell phone. Has he gone out for a run and been robbed? Kidnaped? Murdered? Could he be a con man, a drug dealer, or maybe a spy? Perhaps he has been frightened by this sudden marriage and abandoned her? He consults, first, the hotel staff, then the police, then the US embassy, and each time he is faced with more and more questions that he cannot answer: What exactly has John come to Lisbon for? Who wants to hurt you? How come she knows so little about her husband? Why did he insist so much that she accompany him on this business trip? Ariel walks the old streets of Lisbon, increasingly frustrated, desperate, on the verge of a nervous breakdown. Suddenly, a motorcycle screeches to a halt next to her, the driver throws something at her, and she flees. It's a mobile. Its ringing. The minutes and hours fly by, time is running out for Ariel, and she has no choice but to turn to the one person she would never want to see again.
