¿Dónde está Franco?

An equestrian statue of the dictator that was exhibited in Barcelona in Plaça del Born in 2016 as part of an exhibition became independent from the references that framed it and began its own unique journey of interaction with citizens. The reflection on the events, which were unstoppable for four days with an escalating climate of violence that ended with the removal of the statue, is where the architect Julia Schulz-Dornburg sets off to begin her particular Odyssey following in the footsteps of the nine equestrian sculptures of the dictator destined to glorify the image of Franco as Caudillo and savior of Spain that are distributed in Madrid, Zaragoza, Valencia, Santander, Toledo, Segovia, Ferrol and Melilla, in addition to Barcelona itself.
