Diez horas con Carmen Linares
Linares, Carmen
Morente, Ana
Carmen Linares is the new face of Archivo de Creadores, a series that collects the testimony of the great names of Spanish culture in the first person. In this story with journalist Ana Morente she goes back to her beginnings in a working-class family where singing and dancing were her daily bread. We find mention of hundreds of performances, tours and albums, going through all kinds of experiences, each one more enriching, his encounters with other greats of his generation such as Morente, Camarón, Paco de Lucía, Manolo Sanlúcar, José Mercé, Los Habichuela, among others, as well as collaborations with other artists that have been constant in his career. Her prestige is evident, as well as the respect of the flamenco world, in fact in 2001, she obtained the National Music Prize. In this dialogue, her contribution as a woman to flamenco is of great interest, which has borne fruit as "Antología de la mujer en el cante", and her confrontation with the maturity that has been through experience, and the elegance with which she has been getting older in front of the public.
