Plato's prestige was such since ancient times that it was inevitable that works signed with his name would appear for various reasons. What dialogue among a group of doubters can be attributed to him? What was the goal pursued by the authors of the apocryphal works? Among the eighteen letters attributed to Plato, there are five manifestly false, but the rest belong to the corpus platonicum. This volume collects all these texts and contextualizes them appropriately: from those that the philosopher could never write to those that are not usually questioned, especially some of his valuable personal letters.
