Devoción

Prussia, 1836. Hanne is a fifteen-year-old nature lover who prefers to run free in the woods to live by the rules. She has no friends in her village and everyone thinks she's weird...until she meets Thea. They live in a community of dissenting old Lutherans. When religious persecution begins, they are forced to flee and embark on a journey, in subhuman conditions, to Australia. For six months in the ocean they live in brutal deprivation: tragedy strikes but the love between Hanne and Thea is so strong that nothing can break their bond. Once in the new continent, God, society and even nature itself decree that their love is impossible. But, within the impossible, nests... devotion.
