Derecho de sucesiones
Fajardo Fernández, Javier
This manual aims to bring together several qualities that are not easy to combine. It has been prepared based on extensive teaching experience and is designed and adapted for study by students of the Law degree, but it may also be useful to professionals or interested citizens. It completely covers the subject traditionally assigned to Inheritance Law, but it does so in as brief and synthetic a way as possible, which explains its reasonable length and facilitates its use in a semester subject. It takes into account History and the doctrine that institutions have configured and explained, but it has been written with its application in today's society in mind. It explains the categories and concepts in all their complexity, but at the same time aims to give a very practical vision of the succession phenomenon that allows the reader to carry out tasks themselves such as calculating the legitimation fee or reducing unofficial attributions. The content is structured around the common civil law included in the Civil Code, but attention is also paid to the peculiarities of the special or regional rights, which in this matter are especially varied with respect to the Code and each other. The succession diversity that we have in Spain is deeply rooted in mentalities and social customs, and without a doubt it enriches the whole, although it also makes it more complex. And it should not be forgotten that one third of the Spanish population lives in the territories with Foral Law. The second edition, corrected and expanded (it has 25 more pages), incorporates the latest legislative developments (especially those introduced by Law 8/2021) and jurisprudence, and doubles the number of explanatory tables.
