Suppose your country started to change. Suppose that, without you realizing it, for many people it became dangerous to continue living. Suppose you were to be surprised that one of these people is your father. This happened to Anna, in Germany, in 1933. She was too busy with homework and games to pay much attention to what Hitler was saying. But one fine day, she and her brother had to leave Germany with her parents without anyone knowing, far from everything they knew. The Nazis had put a price on the father's head.
