De puro meteoro

Stories such as the rain ("an intense fraction of a pure meteor", according to the quote that gives the book its name), which happen as rain happens in things, alien and throbbing, and how the most terrible things also happen in our lives, as without us, or in spite of ourselves. Meteor is also what comes from outside the Earth and lands on us like an arc of fire and a catastrophe. Something of this advent of the strange is also announced in the stories that make up this book. Like the falling rain and the star, so language soaks and burns in these stories the random and incomprehensible nature of everyday phenomena. Language is everything we can know and everything we can ignore, that is why in this world of words the truth hides behind them.
