After a career full of successes on the most important opera stages, I have been immersed in a complicated professional situation that has been even more aggravated by my personal situation. My husband has disappeared, he is not answering my calls and, as if that were not humiliating enough, I have discovered that he has left me with serious financial problems. So I have no choice but to act in a rock opera, with a romantic plot and characteristics very far from my record as a mezzo-soprano, even though my prestige has been called into question. If I was already doubting whether or not to accept that job, after meeting the co-star I wonder if I will be able to bear it: a rocker with no verbal filter and questionable dressing style, who steals my makeup and who is always surrounded by fans willing to do anything for his idol.
