This third edition of the Practical Course on Style Correction has been updated in accordance with all the changes introduced in the 23rd edition of the DRAE (2019), the Ortografía de la lengua española (2010) and the Nueva grammar de la RAE (2009) ), changes that can be consulted directly through the Analytical Index. Furthermore, the linguistic analysis of some especially conflictive points has been deepened. This Practical Copyediting Course has been compiled using more than 1,000 real-life examples drawn from the practice of proofreading. In this way, not only those issues that people often stumble on are specifically addressed, but specific and complex cases of punctuation, use of prepositions, use of verb tenses, pronominal replacement, concordances, syntactic inconsistencies, etc., are solved by doing special emphasis on the common problems present in translations from English. It also includes more than 500 extra exercises to correct (with their corresponding correction and succinct explanation), as well as an appendix with the regime of prepositions of the main verbs and a table of tense relationships (present-past, indicative-subjunctive and style direct-indirect).
