SQL ('Structured Query Language' or Structured Query Language) is a language that allows us to perform queries and manage data in any relational database. From its first version in 1986 to the present, it has become the most widely used standard, thanks to its ubiquity and ease of use. There are SQL implementations in all Relational Database Management Systems (RDBMS) on the market, and subsets of it have also been included in other data models related to Big Data and mobile technologies. With this book we give the reader a general and up-to-date overview of SQL capabilities that includes everything from its most basic operation to its most advanced operations, so that you can get the most out of your database. To do this, a practical and very didactic approach is used, which is mainly based on its implementation in the MySQL SGBDR. Likewise, its differences with two other RMBRDs widely used in the market, such as Oracle and SQLite, are analyzed.
