de Númenor y la Tierra Media

Tolkien, J. R. R.

Unfinished Tales is a collection of stories about the History of Middle-earth from the First Days to the end of the War of the Ring, passing through the Second Age and the rise of Sauron, in which events are related that will later be narrated in The Silmarillion and in The Lord of the Rings. The book focuses on the Middle-earth territory, and includes such elements as Gandalf's lively speech explaining how he came to send the Dwarves to the famous meeting at Bag End; the emergence of Ulmo, the god of the sea, before the eyes of Tuor on the coast of Beleriand; a detailed description of the military organization of the Riders of Rohan; and the journey of the Black Riders during the search for the Ring. Unfinished Tales also contains the only surviving account of Númenor's long past before his fall, and all that is known of the Five Magi, the Palantíri, and the legend of Amroth.
