Cuentos completos (1907-1913)
Lawrence, D. H.
For works as resounding as Lady Chatterley's Lover or The Rainbow, David Herbert Lawrence (1885-1930) not only went down in literary history, but he did so as a provocative and uncomfortable critic of society, but also -and sometimes unfairly- as an erotic, decidedly obscene author who had to be read on the sly. His brief narrative as a whole, however, goes to show that Lawrence's literature could be as complex and varied as its author was -polyhedral, dynamic, pure instinct, outburst and passion- and arouse the admiration of authors such as Ezra Pound, Ford Maddox Ford, E. M. Foster, Anthony Burgess, and Aldous Huxley.
