Cuando giran los muertos
LIII Premio de Novela Ateneo de Sevilla
Valle, Ignacio del
During a literary tour of Latin America, Don Félix Arcadia, a Spanish writer and diplomat, is kidnapped in Morelia by a faction of exiled Republicans. Captain Arturo Andrade and his comrade Manolete, in charge of his security, begin a desperate search throughout Mexico. In its course, they will move between a complex game of geopolitics, republican exile, the Mexican intelligentsia, old revolutionary caciques, mercenaries and assassins of the Caribbean Legion, Soviet spies, arms dealers... And they will tour a Mexico full of myths and poetry that, as the novel reads, "is not a country, but a form of madness...".
