Crónicas marcianas

Bradbury, Ray

First published in 1950, "The Martian Chronicles" gave Ray Bradbury literary recognition by critics, who surrendered to a masterpiece that has been published continuously ever since. "Martian Chronicles" is not, "stricto sensu", a novel, but a succession of stories about the haphazard colonization of Mars by humanity, and these stories weave and compose a whole, in an ingenious way of structuring a collection of stories with novel vocation. The affiliation of the set to science fiction or fantasy has been discussed, although, beyond the fact that Bradbury's Mars may belong to one or another genre, what really matters is the intention to forge an alternative reality to explore the moral dimension and psychology of the human being, as well as the enormous talent and sense of wonder displayed in these pages.
