Braga, 1992. Andrés Parrondo, the protagonist of this novel, accepts a job offer that takes him to Braga. The heads of the Okram Foundation are looking for a journalist to write the biography of António Lopes Okram, elusive person and world manager of Okram companies, and one of the richest and most powerful people in the world.
