Thanks to a photograph that had inexplicably gone viral, Tony had found me. Or rather: he had found Maggie. I had no way of knowing if she was a moron or not, if he might rat me out to the police. Maybe it sounds paranoid, but I don't think it's that absurd. There are people who go to jail for things far less important than child murder charges. Maggie's quiet, small-town existence is rocked by an unexpected Facebook message that sends her back in time. She is forced to remember trauma from blows, bruised thighs, and loss. She had become a new person long ago, but what happens when the stories of the past are hopelessly dragged to light?
