Cosmología física
Cepa, Jordi
The purpose of this book is to become a tool for the study and teaching of cosmology at undergraduate and postgraduate levels, and also a reference text for both theoretical and observational specialists. In its teaching aspect, it is intended for university students with basic training in astrophysics, without requiring prior knowledge of general relativity. To this end, efforts have been made, as far as possible, for the book to be self-sufficient at all times. Starting from the simplest level, typical of an introductory subject, the degree of difficulty of the text progresses in such a way that several of the final chapters can be taught, in whole or in part, in master's or doctoral courses. An effort has been made to prioritize expository clarity through examples and pedagogical exercises that allow understanding the most difficult to grasp concepts, maintaining, however, academic rigor. Physical cosmology covers the most relevant fields of cosmology, from the most classical and established to the most novel, including the most controversial theories at the forefront of current cosmology. This completely updated second edition includes 227 exercises, of which 34 are practical exercises, 122 figures and 49 summary tables, together with abundant bibliographical references, texts to expand knowledge and useful internet addresses.
