Winter of 1985 in a small Irish town. Bill Furlong is a kind man and a tireless worker, he sells charcoal and lumber. His only concern is that his wife and his five daughters do not lack for anything. He leads a quiet and routine life, until one day, while delivering an order to the town convent, he gets involved in a situation that brings back another image of his past, leaving him in the middle of a definitive crossroads: on the one hand, to follow his instinct of self-preservation and looking down, on the other, act courageously and do the right thing, regardless of the consequences.
