Ismael did not have an easy childhood, but despite all the obstacles he managed to study and now he makes a living as a language and literature teacher. One day he bumps into an old neighbor and little by little they begin to become intimate, until another apparently accidental encounter, this time with the former janitor of the institute where he teaches, leads Ismael to an extreme situation with terrifying consequences. Recovering his memory and being able to unravel the tangle of events in which he is trapped will be a difficult task, which the skill of Jaume Cabré combines masterfully with the adventures of a perceptive and self-absorbed wild boar.
